I am that which others did not want to be.

I stand for that which others have forgotten or abused.

I ask for nothing of those who gave nothing,

And defended those who were unable to stand and defend themselves.

I have seen the violent face of war,

And remembered those times that others say were best forgotten.

And through the joy of victory and the tears of sorrow,
